To Register for 2012-2013:
- Please thoroughly read LEGACY POLICIES AND EXPECTATIONS to determine whether Legacy is a good fit for your family.
- Determine whether your children are being homeschooled according to the Home-Based Instruction law, RCW 28A.200.010. For more information, please visit the WHO web site at www.washhomeschool.org.
- Complete and sign the Registration Contract. Returning families must use the prefilled contract provided. New families may download a blank registration contract. The contract must be signed both by the parents and by any students born prior to May 31, 2000.
- Complete a Class Selection Form for each student you would like to enroll (one child per form).
- Please make your selections carefully. Once class selection forms, registration contracts, and registration fees have been processed, your registration is final. NO further changes, additions, etc., can be made until add/drop day on April 12, 2012 (returning families only) OR on or after May 18, 2012 (all families).
- You may only register your child for classes that are listed within your child’s age/grade limit. If your child is outside the age/grade range for a class that you would like to register him/her for, you must have the teacher fill out a permission slip (available at the Information Desk) and wait until add/drop day to add that class.
- When you sign your child up for a class, please do so with the intention of having your child remain in class for the entire year. We understand there are situations that make it necessary to drop a class mid-year; however, please keep in mind that this may have a negative impact on the teacher and other students in the class.
- Write a check for $145.00, made payable to Legacy Homeschool Center, to cover the registration / building use fee. This fee is nonrefundable / nontransferable.
- Make a photocopy of the registration contract for your records.
- Bring your completed Registration Contract, Class Selection Form(s), and your registration / building use fee to Legacy on the assigned registration day:
Registration for Returning Families will be held at Legacy on March 8th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Registration for New Families will be held at Legacy on March 29th, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Important Notes for Registration:
- Returning Families are those who registered for the 2011-2012 school year on or before January 31, 2012, and are actively participating in Legacy.
- If you will be out of town on registration day, please be sure to do one of the following:
- Bring your registration paperwork and check to the registrar before leaving town,
- Have a friend turn in your registration paperwork and check for you on registration day, or
- Send your registration paperwork and check to P.O. Box 3325, Redmond, WA 98073-3325, postmarked no later than March 3, 2012.
After Registration: Important Dates

Preliminary class lists from returning family registration will be posted at Legacy. |
April 12 |
Add/Drop Day (returning families only) NOTE: Before adding a class during an hour for which you hold a confirmed spot, you must drop the confirmed class spot. You may NOT hold a confirmed spot and be on a class waiting list for the same hour.

May 3 |
Final Class Lists will be posted for all families, new and returning.

May 17 |
All families pick up their individualized Family Schedule and a copy of the Class Facilitator List at Legacy.
Facilitator Training: If you are assigned to facilitate a class, you must attend this training. To add or drop class(es) on or after May 18, 2012, please contact the appropriate class facilitator(s).

May 24 |
Payment Due (all families): Provide two nonrefundable checks, payable to the teacher, to the designated facilitator. Materials fee checks should be postdated* for June 15, 2012. Your checks secure your student’s enrollment in class. Any unsecured spots as of May 25, 2012, will be offered to students on the waiting list.

Sept. 20 |
Provide a copy of your Declaration of Intent to homeschool to the Front Desk on or before September 20, 2012. |
