General Legacy Questions

Q. When do you meet?

A. We meet on Thursdays, from September to June, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. You choose what classes you would like to attend during those hours. Your family does not have to attend classes all day.

Q. Can I come visit?

A. Yes! Come by any time Legacy is in session. Stop by the main tables on the main floor to sign in, receive a name tag, ask questions, and receive information.

Q. Is there a minimum age for my kids?

A. No.

Q. Can I drop my child off at Legacy and run errands while class is in session?

A. Absolutely not! Parents must remain at Legacy with their children. Legacy is not a babysitting service.

Q. What happens if it snows?

A. See our winter weather closure policy for further instructions.

Registration Questions

Q. What is a "returning family?"

A. At the time of registration, a family is considered to have returning status if the family: 1) has registered prior to January 31 of the year registration takes place; 2) is actively participating in Legacy at the time of registration; and 3) is current on all class tuition for current and previous years.

Q. What is a "new family?"

A. A new family is one that completes a Registration Contract between February 1 and the date of registration.

Q. Is the registration fee refundable?

A. If none of the children in your family are confirmed in any class upon registration, you may request a refund upon withdrawing from Legacy. If just one child is confirmed in just one class, then the registration fee becomes non-refundable.

Q. Is tuition refundable?

A. NO. The first month’s tuition is non-refundable once it has been submitted to the facilitator to reserve your child’s spot. Also, when a student drops a Legacy class during the year, tuition is owed for 4 weeks of class from the date notice of withdrawal is given.

Q. Are fees refundable?

A. NO. Material fees are non-refundable once it has been submitted to the facilitator to reserve your child’s spot. Also, when a student drops a Legacy class during the year, they forgo their material fees.

Q. When is the deadline for registration?

A. Please see the Registration Packet for specific deadlines.

Q. When are jobs assigned?

A. Facilitator jobs are assigned in May; all other jobs are assigned in August.

Q. How do I add a class during the summer?

A. If your family is already registered at Legacy, contact the facilitator for the class you are interested in. If there is space available, you will be placed in the class. If not, you may be placed on the waiting list.

If your family is not already registered at Legacy, come visit Legacy on or after the first day of classes in the fall to register and find out which classes may be available.

Q. How do I drop a class?

A. To drop a class, notify the class facilitator.

Q. How do I drop all classes at Legacy?

A. To drop all classes, notify each class facilitator. In addition, notify a Board member to let them know your family will no longer be attending Legacy.
